Important Documents for KVS Admission 2026

If your child’s status shows "Selected", you must report to the respective KV with the following original documents. Failure to produce these within the stipulated time will result in the seat being offered to the next candidate on the Waiting List (WL).

  • Proof of Age: Original Birth Certificate issued by competent authority.

  • Photograph: Recent passport-size photo of the child.

  • Residence Proof: Aadhaar Card, Electricity Bill, or Rent Agreement.

  • Category Certificate: SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/BPL certificate (if applicable).

  • Service Certificate: For parents applying under the Priority Category (Central/State Govt employees).

  • Blood Group: A valid medical certificate indicating the child's blood group.

Understanding Your Result Status

The KVS lottery system is computerized and transparent. Here is what the terms mean:

  • Selected: Your child has been provisionally shortlisted. Proceed for document verification.

  • Waiting List (WL): Your child is in the queue. If a "Selected" candidate drops out, the seat moves to the WL candidates in numerical order.

  • Post-Lottery Number: This indicates the final rank of the child after the draw.

What if my name is not in the second list?

Don't lose hope. KVS will release the Third Provisional Selection List on April 21, 2026, strictly subject to the availability of remaining seats.
