MAH MBA CAP 2026 Round 4: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has released the provisional vacant seat list for Round 4 of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026, applicable to MBA, MMS, and PGDM admissions across the state. Candidates who are yet to be allotted a satisfactory seat, or who remained unallotted after Round 3, can view the vacant seats and participating institutes on the official portal — mba2026.mahacet.org.in/mba_26.
As per the CAP 2026 schedule, the Round 4 process began on August 29, 2026, and the online option form — where candidates submit their institute and course preferences in order of priority — will remain available for submission and confirmation until August 31, 2026. Based on the choices filled, the Round 4 provisional seat allotment result will be displayed on September 3, 2026.
Provisional vacant seat list released — Candidates can check which institutes and courses have seats remaining after Round 3 allotment.
Option form submission and confirmation — Candidates log in and fill their preferences for institutes and courses in descending order of priority (a maximum of 300 institute-course combinations can be filled, as per Rule 9 of the CAP information brochure).
Provisional seat allotment result — Declared based on the candidate's merit rank, preferences submitted, and seat availability.
Seat acceptance and reporting — Allotted candidates must confirm their seat and complete admission formalities within the notified deadline.

As per the CAP information brochure's provisions, if a candidate is allotted a seat corresponding to one of their top preferences (as specified in the rules for later rounds), the allotment may be subject to an auto-freeze, meaning the candidate must accept that seat and complete admission within the given deadline, without the option to participate in further rounds. Candidates should therefore fill their Round 4 preferences carefully and in genuine order of priority, since a top-preference allotment at this stage could be locked in automatically.
Candidates who are allotted a seat and wish to confirm it must pay a seat confirmation fee of Rs 1,000 at the time of confirming their admission, as per the CAP 2026 fee structure.
Once the Round 4 provisional allotment result is declared on September 3, 2026, allotted candidates will need to complete seat acceptance and report to their respective institutes within the notified deadline. Since Round 4 is typically among the final rounds of the centralised process, candidates who remain unallotted after this round should watch for announcements regarding any Institute Level Round for seats still lying vacant after all CAP rounds conclude.
