Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2026: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has revised the CAP Round 1 counselling schedule for MBBS and BDS admissions for the academic year 2026-27. The revised timetable changes the dates for registration, document submission, merit list publication, choice filling and seat allotment.
The Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 CAP Round 1 seat allotment result will now be released on August 30, 2026, while candidates allotted seats will have to complete physical joining between August 31 and September 4, 2026.
For candidates who have not yet completed the Maharashtra NEET UG counselling process, the most important update is that online registration and session application will reopen on August 20 at 8 PM and remain open until August 21 at 8 PM. Candidates must also complete fee payment and document submission within the prescribed deadlines.

The revised schedule covers the admission process for MBBS and BDS courses through Maharashtra's state counselling process.
The registration window is reopening for eligible candidates on August 20 at 8 PM. Candidates can register and submit the session application until August 21 at 8 PM.
However, candidates should note that the deadlines for different stages are not the same. The registration fee can be paid until 10 PM on August 21, while uploading and submitting the required original documents must be completed by 11:59 PM on August 21.
This makes August 21 a crucial deadline for candidates seeking admission through Maharashtra NEET UG CAP Round 1.
The revised provisional merit list will be published on August 23, 2026. Candidates will then get an opportunity to submit grievances against the revised list until 5 PM on August 24.
The final merit list is scheduled to be released on August 25, 2026, along with the seat matrix.
Candidates should carefully check their names, application details and other relevant information in the merit list. Any discrepancy should be raised within the prescribed grievance window.
After publication of the final merit list, candidates will have to complete the online choice/preference filling process from August 26 to August 29, 2026.
The choice-filling window will close at 5:30 PM on August 29. Candidates should prioritise their preferred MBBS and BDS colleges carefully before submitting their preferences.
The choices entered during this stage will play an important role in determining the college and course allotted to candidates in CAP Round 1.
The Maharashtra NEET UG CAP Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for August 30, 2026.
Candidates who receive an allotment will then have to complete the admission process and physically join their allotted college between August 31 and September 4, 2026, up to 5:30 PM.
Candidates should report with their original documents and the required fee demand draft as prescribed by the authorities.
The Maharashtra CET Cell has issued an important warning regarding document submission. Uploading documents alone is not sufficient. Candidates must also click the Submit button after uploading the documents.
Failure to submit the uploaded documents may result in rejection of the application. Candidates are therefore advised to verify their application status after completing the document-upload process.
The Maharashtra CET Cell revised the CAP Round 1 timetable following an extension in the All India Quota NEET UG counselling schedule by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
The state counselling schedule has consequently been aligned with the updated national counselling timeline.
The revised dates are important for both candidates who have already registered and those who are eligible to register during the reopened window.
Candidates should not wait until the final hours to complete the counselling process. Those eligible to register should:
Complete Maharashtra NEET UG CAP Round 1 registration after the portal reopens.
Pay the registration fee within the specified deadline.
Upload and submit all required original documents.
Check the revised provisional merit list on August 23.
Raise grievances, if required, by the prescribed deadline.
Check the final merit list on August 25.
Fill and submit college/course preferences between August 26 and August 29.
Check the CAP Round 1 allotment result on August 30.
Report physically to the allotted college within the joining window.
