  • Re-evaluation: ₹300 per subject.

Important Note: You must apply for a photocopy of your answer sheet first to be eligible for the re-evaluation process.

Rules for Maharashtra Board Re-evaluation

  • Mandatory Photocopy: Re-evaluation is only permitted after a student has received and reviewed the official photocopy of their answer sheet.

  • Expert Feedback: Students are advised to consult their school subject teachers after receiving the photocopy to identify potential marking errors.

  • Score Changes: If the re-evaluation results in a change of 5% or more in total marks, the new score will be updated. For students scoring 90% and above, even a 1-mark change is updated.

  • Finality: Once the re-evaluation result is declared, no further requests for re-checking will be entertained.

FAQs: Maharashtra SSC Re-evaluation 2026

1. Can marks decrease after Maharashtra SSC re-evaluation?

Yes. While students hope for an increase, the re-evaluation process involves a fresh look by an examiner. If errors are found that over-marked the student, the marks can technically decrease.

2. Is the fee refundable if my marks increase?

The re-evaluation fee (₹300) is generally refundable if there is a change in the total marks after the process. However, the verification and photocopy fees are non-refundable.

3. What is the difference between Verification and Re-evaluation?

Verification only checks for totaling errors or missed questions. Re-evaluation is a comprehensive process where the entire answer sheet is reassessed by a subject expert.

4. How many subjects can I apply for?

A student can apply for a maximum of six subjects for photocopy and verification.

5. When will the supplementary exams be held?

Students who fail to clear the exam even after re-evaluation can appear for the Maharashtra SSC Supplementary Exams, tentatively scheduled for June–July 2026.
