MH CET Law 3-Year LLB CAP registration 2026 has been extended till July 13, 2026. Check the revised schedule, step-by-step registration process, and the complete list of documents required for MH CET Law counselling 2026 below.
The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, has once again pushed back the deadline for MH CET Law 2026 3-Year LLB CAP registration. Candidates who could not complete the process earlier now have until July 13, 2026 to submit their counselling applications on the official portal, cetcell.mahacet.org. The previous cut-off was July 8, 2026 — itself an extension of the original June 30 deadline.
This makes it the second extension granted for the 3-Year LLB Centralised Admission Process this cycle, and candidates are strongly advised to treat July 13 as final rather than banking on a third.
Only candidates who have qualified the MH CET Law 2026 examination with a valid non-zero score are eligible to participate in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The registration facility is open to both Maharashtra State (MS) and Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates.
Separately, the MH CET 5-Year LLB CAP 2026 registration window is still live and closes on July 9, 2026. Candidates targeting integrated BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes must complete their application before the portal shuts.
While the CET Cell has not attributed the extension to any single cause, deadline extensions in the Maharashtra CAP cycle typically follow a familiar pattern — heavy last-minute portal traffic, candidates awaiting pending documents such as domicile or caste validity certificates, and a large volume of OMS applicants navigating an unfamiliar state portal for the first time.
With around 16,240 seats on offer across participating 3-Year LLB colleges in Maharashtra, the registration count directly determines competition intensity in CAP Round 1. A longer window generally means a deeper applicant pool — and marginally tighter cut-offs at premium institutes.
| Course | Revised Registration Window |
| 3-Year LLB | July 9 to July 13, 2026 |
| B.P.Ed | July 9 to July 13, 2026 |
| M.P.Ed | July 9 to July 13, 2026 |
| 5-Year LLB | Closes July 9, 2026 |
Candidates from both MS and OMS categories can complete online CAP registration and application within the revised schedule above.
Follow the steps below to complete MH CET Law CAP registration 2026 online:
Visit the official portal — go to cetcell.mahacet.org and open the Admission Portal for A.Y. 2026–27.
Register for the counselling process by entering the required personal and academic details, then log in with the generated credentials.
Upload the required documents in the prescribed format and size.
Fill your preferred colleges and courses in strict order of preference.
Pay the applicable CAP registration fee through the available online payment modes (net banking, debit/credit card, UPI).
Review every entered detail carefully, submit the application form, and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Pro tip: Do not treat choice filling as an afterthought. Seat allotment in CAP is driven by merit-cum-preference — a strong rank paired with a shallow preference list is the single most common reason candidates go unallotted in Round 1.
Keep the following documents scanned and ready before you begin:
MH CET Law 2026 scorecard
Graduation marksheet (for 3-Year LLB)
Degree certificate
Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets
Class 10 and Class 12 passing certificates
Government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID)
Domicile certificate
Caste certificate and caste validity (if applicable)
Non-Creamy Layer certificate (if applicable)
EWS certificate (if applicable)
Migration certificate (for candidates from non-Maharashtra boards/universities)
Passport-size photograph
Scanned signature
Ensure the name spelling on every document matches your application form exactly. Mismatches are the leading cause of rejection at the document verification stage.
Once the registration window closes on July 13, the CET Cell will move through the standard sequence:
Provisional / alphabetical list of registered candidates
Grievance window for corrections
Final merit list (published separately for 3-Year and 5-Year LLB)
CAP Round 1 seat allotment
Reporting and admission confirmation
CAP Round 2 and Round 3
Institute-level round for any vacant seats
MH CET Law counselling 2026 is conducted entirely in online mode, across three CAP rounds followed by an institute-level round.
