The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has opened online registration for the MHT CET CAP 2026 counselling process, covering admissions to BTech/Engineering and MBA/MMS courses for the 2026–27 academic session. Candidates can apply through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) portal at cetcell.mahacet.org until July 12, 2026.
This year's process includes registration, document verification (online or physical), choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to allotted institutes — with the final merit list scheduled for July 20, 2026.
| Event | Date |
| CAP registration start | July 2, 2026 |
| CAP registration & document upload deadline | July 12, 2026 (5 PM) |
| Document verification last date | July 13, 2026 |
| Final merit list | July 20, 2026 |
Candidates who have qualified MHT CET 2026 are automatically eligible. Additionally, aspirants applying via valid JEE Main 2026, NEET UG, CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT, or GMAT scores can also register for the relevant CAP round, though they must pay the applicable registration fee separately.
| Candidate Category | BTech CAP Fee | MBA CAP Fee |
| General / Outside Maharashtra / Gulf-country workers' children | ₹1,300 | ₹1,300 |
| Reserved category (Maharashtra) / PWD | ₹1,000 | ₹1,000 |
Note: Candidates who already registered for MHT CET 2026 do not need to pay a separate CAP registration fee. Only those applying purely via JEE Main, NEET UG, or management entrance scores (without an MHT CET registration) must pay.
Visit the official portal: cetcell.mahacet.org
Click the "BTech CAP 2026" or "MBA CAP 2026" link, as applicable

Pay the registration fee, if applicable
Submit the form and download the acknowledgement/fee receipt
Candidates should complete registration and document upload well before the July 12 deadline to avoid last-minute portal traffic or technical delays — a common issue in previous CAP cycles.
Once registration closes, CET Cell will release a provisional merit list, followed by an objection window for candidates to raise discrepancies. After resolving grievances, the final merit list will be published on July 20, 2026, followed by choice filling and seat allotment rounds (expected in 3–4 rounds, based on past years).
