
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced the postponement of the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MPSET) 2025. The examination, which was earlier scheduled to be conducted on January 11, 2026, has been deferred due to unavoidable circumstances. The Commission has stated that the revised exam date will be notified separately at a later stage.
According to an official notice issued by the MPPSC, Indore Residency Region, the State Eligibility Test 2025 will not be held on the previously announced date. The original examination schedule was released on October 15, 2025, confirming January 11, 2026, as the exam date. However, the latest notification clarifies that the test has been postponed, without providing specific reasons beyond citing unavoidable factors.
The Commission has informed candidates that all other conditions mentioned in the original advertisement will remain unchanged. Applicants are advised to regularly visit the official MPPSC website for updates regarding the new examination date. Candidates should keep their academic documents in order and continue their preparation for the exam. The Commission has also cautioned aspirants against relying on unofficial or unverified sources for information.
The postponement notice clearly states that the examination has been deferred due to unavoidable reasons and that the fresh schedule will be announced separately. The MPSET is conducted to determine eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor in colleges and universities across Madhya Pradesh.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks. A relaxation to 50% is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Students appearing in the final year of their postgraduate degree are also eligible.
The MPSET 2025 will be conducted across 31 subjects, including Hindi, English, Political Science, History, Commerce, Geography, Economics, Sociology, and Public Administration. The complete subject list is available on the official MPPSC portal.

Paper II: Subject-specific paper
Both papers will consist of objective-type questions, and there will be no negative marking.
