 Why did NTA extend the NCHM JEE 2026 deadline?

The NTA extended the deadline to ensure wider participation from across the country. Key reasons include:

  • Addition of Exam Cities: New examination centers were added, and the extension allows students in those regions to apply.

  • Candidate Requests: Multiple representations were received by the NTA from students requesting an extension to complete their forms and arrange documents.

  • NCHMCT Request: The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology also formally requested the extension to accommodate more aspirants.

The fee depends on the candidate's category and is non-refundable.

  • General (UR) / OBC-(NCL): ₹1,000

  • General-EWS: ₹700

  • SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender: ₹450

How to Register for NCHM JEE 2026 (Step-by-Step)

Follow these steps to ensure your application is submitted successfully:

  1. Visit the Website: Go to the official NTA NCHM JEE portal at exams.nta.nic.in/nchm-jee.

  2. New Registration: Click on the "Registration" link and enter your basic details (Name, Email, Phone Number).

  3. Login: Use the system-generated Application Number and password to log in.

  4. Fill Application: Carefully enter your personal, academic, and contact details.

  5. Choose Exam Cities: Select your preferred test centers from the list.

  6. Upload Documents: Upload a scanned copy of your photograph (10kb–200kb) and signature (4kb–30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.

  7. Pay Fee: Complete the transaction using the online payment gateway.

  8. Confirmation Page: Download and print the confirmation page. Note: Your application is not final until this page is generated.

NCHM JEE 2026 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

  • Total Questions: 200 (Note: Some official notifications specify a total of 800 marks for 200 questions across 5 sections).

  • Marking Scheme:

    • Correct Answer: +4 Marks

    • Incorrect Answer: -1 Mark (Negative Marking)

    • Unanswered: 0 Marks

  • Language: The question paper will be available in English and Hindi.

  • Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours).
