New Delhi, September 3, 2026 — The Medical Counselling Committee has released the NEET MDS 2026 counselling Round 1 final seat allotment result on its official website, mcc.nic.in. Candidates who registered for the first round can now log in with their NEET MDS roll number and password to check their allotted college and course, and download the provisional allotment letter required for admission.
The final list follows the provisional Round 1 result published on September 1, 2026, in which 1,521 candidates were allotted seats. MCC kept a grievance window open until 12:30 PM on September 2, allowing candidates to flag discrepancies in category, quota or choice order before the allotment was locked. Corrections accepted during that window are reflected in the list now live on the portal.
Candidates holding a Round 1 allotment must report physically to the allotted institute between September 3 and September 11, 2026. Reporting is not a formality — a candidate who does not join within this window forfeits the seat, and in the case of deemed university and certain quota seats, may also lose the security deposit as per the MCC information bulletin.
MCC has historically directed that Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays be treated as working days during counselling, so candidates should not assume the deadline slides for a weekend. Verification of joined candidates' data by the states is scheduled for September 12 and 13, 2026.
Open mcc.nic.in.

Candidates should cross-check name spelling, category, quota and course code on the letter against their application. Any mismatch must be raised with the allotted institute at the time of document verification, not after joining.

MCC conducts NEET MDS counselling for 50 per cent All India Quota seats in government dental colleges, 100 per cent seats in deemed universities, central university seats, and ESIC and AFMS seats. The remaining state quota seats are handled by individual state counselling authorities, whose Round 1 process this year ran from August 21 to September 5, 2026. Candidates in the state stream must follow their own state's schedule and should not treat MCC dates as applicable to them.
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 have three broad options. They may join and stay, they may join and opt for an upgrade in Round 2 by choosing not to resign, or — where the bulletin permits — they may exit without joining. Free exit provisions differ by round and by seat type, and are strictest for deemed university seats. Candidates should read the free exit clause in the MCC 2026 information bulletin carefully before deciding, because a wrong assumption here costs both the seat and the deposit.
MCC is expected to announce the NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 counselling schedule, including fresh registration and choice filling dates, shortly after Round 1 reporting closes and vacancy positions are updated. Candidates who were not allotted a seat in Round 1 do not need to register again in most cases, but must fill fresh choices for Round 2. The vacant seat matrix for Round 2 is published only after institutes report joining data.
NEET MDS 2026 was conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. The qualifying cut-off is the 50th percentile for general category candidates and the 40th percentile for SC, ST and OBC candidates, with a separate relaxed threshold for PwD candidates as notified. Only candidates who cleared this percentile are eligible to take part in counselling.
Candidates are advised to rely only on mcc.nic.in for allotment data, dates and notices. Unofficial PDFs circulating on messaging apps have in past cycles carried outdated schedules from superseded bulletins.
