The NEET PG 2026 application form last date is tomorrow — Monday, July 21, 2026, at 11:55 PM. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has advised every eligible MBBS graduate to complete the online registration well ahead of the cut-off, because the final hours typically bring heavy server load and payment failures on the official portal, natboard.edu.in.
The NEET PG 2026 registration process opened on July 1, 2026, at 5 PM and remains live until July 21, 2026, at 11:55 PM. Candidates who have not yet applied should read the official Information Bulletin carefully before filling the form, as NBEMS has introduced several first-time changes this year covering the exam pattern, test-city selection and Aadhaar authentication.
Registration started: July 1, 2026 (5:00 PM)
Application form last date: July 21, 2026 (11:55 PM) — tomorrow
Correction / edit window: July 25 to July 28, 2026
Exam date: August 30, 2026 (Sunday), 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, single shift, nationwide
Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT), English only
Result (expected): By September 30, 2026 (as per NBEMS timeline)
The most significant update this year is a leaner paper. NBEMS has revised the number of questions from 200 to 180 MCQs. The 180 questions are split across five sections of 36 MCQs each, with 42 minutes allotted per section. That gives a total duration of 3 hours 30 minutes and a maximum score of 720 marks.
Two things candidates must note about the format: once the 42-minute timer for a section ends, you cannot return to that section to review or change answers, and the marking scheme is unchanged — +4 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong answer, and 0 for an unattempted question. With negative marking in play, blind guessing on unsure questions can cost you.

The application fee is ₹3,500 for General, OBC and EWS candidates, and ₹2,500 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates, and it is non-refundable. Payment can be made online via credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.
Candidates need an MBBS degree recognised under the NMC Act, 2019 (or a provisional MBBS pass certificate), a valid NMC/State Medical Council registration, and must have completed — or be due to complete — the compulsory one-year internship on or before September 30, 2026. There is no upper age limit and no cap on attempts.
NBEMS has issued a detailed advisory that every applicant must follow:
Choose three preferred test states — not cities. The first preference must be the state matching your correspondence address, and the second and third preferences should be neighbouring states.
These choices are locked after submission. Neither the correspondence address nor the preferred test states can be changed later — not even during the edit window.
Applying early does not help. Test city allotment is not on a first-come, first-served basis. NBEMS may allot an exam city anywhere in India for administrative, security, logistical or technical reasons.
Photo and signature must be recent and clear. Upload a passport-size photograph taken within the last three months. Blurred, edited or non-compliant images can lead to rejection, and the admit card may not be issued.
Provide a valid correspondence address with acceptable address proof.
Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for identity verification this cycle.
Any queries should be raised only through the official NBEMS Communication Web Portal, not through unofficial channels.
