The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has releasde the NEET PG City Intimation Slip 2026 today, August 12, 2026, on the official website natboard.edu.in. Over 2.7 lakh candidates who registered for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET PG) 2026 can now log in with their user ID and password to check the city allotted to them for the exam.
The city intimation slip does not carry the exact exam centre address — it only confirms the city where a candidate's centre will be located. This lets candidates start planning travel and accommodation nearly three weeks ahead of the exam, which is scheduled for August 30, 2026, in computer-based mode.

Candidates will also receive the city allotment information on their registered email ID. NBEMS advises checking the spam/promotions folder if the email doesn't appear in the inbox within a few hours of release.
A lot of candidates confuse the two — here's the distinction that matters:
The City Intimation Slip only tells you the CITY where your centre is located. It has no seat number, no reporting time, and no centre address.
The Admit Card, releasing August 27, will carry the exact exam centre name and address, reporting time, photograph, signature, and exam-day instructions — this is the document you must carry to the centre.
Do not finalise non-refundable travel bookings based on the city slip alone; centre-level logistics only get locked in with the admit card on August 27.
NBEMS has clarified that city allotment is not first-come-first-serve. Early submission of the application does not guarantee a candidate's preferred test city. Allotment follows a computerised, randomised process based on preferences exercised at the time of application, subject to seat availability in each city. In previous cycles, some candidates have been allotted cities far from their stated preference — so it's worth verifying your slip the moment it's accessible rather than waiting till the last date.
Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT) Date: August 30, 2026 Syllabus: Based on the MBBS curriculum notified by the National Medical Commission (NMC) Devices: Mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside test centres; violation invites penal/unfair-means action Demo Test: Available from August 15, 2026 on natboard.edu.in for candidates to familiarise themselves with the CBT interface
With over 2.7 lakh registrations for NEET PG 2026, exam city capacity is tighter than in several previous years, making early verification of your allotted city more important — especially for candidates in states where centre numbers are limited relative to the applicant pool.
