The Reserve Bank of India has released the RBI Admit Card 2026 for the RBI Grade B Phase 2 examination. Candidates who cleared the Phase 1 screening test held in June can now complete their RBI Grade B Admit Card Download from the official website, rbi.org.in, using their registration number or roll number along with their password or date of birth.
The Reserve Bank of India Services Board (RBISB) issued the call letters on July 15, 2026, along with the Information Handout and exam-day guidelines, under Advertisement No. RBISB/DA/01/2026-27 for Panel Year 2026.
This is the detail most aspirants are getting wrong. The RBI Grade B Phase 2 examination runs across two days, but your date depends entirely on your cadre:
| Cadre | Phase 2 Exam Date | Papers |
| Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) — General | July 25, 2026 | Paper I (ESI), Paper II (English), Paper III (F&M) |
| DEPR | July 26, 2026 | Paper I and Paper II |
| DSIM | July 26, 2026 | Paper II and Paper III |
RBI has issued three separate admit card links and three separate Information Handouts, one for each cadre. Candidates who applied for both the General cadre and a specialised cadre submitted separate applications and must download both RBI Exam Hall Ticket copies independently.
Candidates should note that RBI has issued a single admit card covering both shifts of their exam day. There is no second call letter coming for the afternoon session. The same printed hall ticket must be carried to both the morning and afternoon papers.
The Bank has stated unambiguously that no request for change of date, shift, centre or venue will be entertained. The RBI Grade B examination Centre allotted on your hall ticket is final. Candidates who had hoped for a centre closer to home should plan travel and accommodation now rather than write in.

Verify every field, download the PDF, and take at least two printouts
Download the accompanying Information Handout from the same page. It carries the paper-wise structure and the full RBI Exam Instructions for your cadre.
Your hall ticket carries your name, roll number, registration number, photograph and signature, exam date, shift timing and reporting time, Gate Closing Time, the full address of your RBI Grade B examination Centre, and the exam-day instructions issued by the Bank. Check the spelling of your name, your date of birth and your category against your application record. Any discrepancy must be flagged to RBI immediately — not on exam morning.
Every year candidates are turned away at the gate over documents. The RBI Grade B photo ID Requirements are specific, and two rules catch people out.
First: you need the original AND a photocopy. Carrying only the original is not enough. Carrying only a photocopy is not enough.
Accepted photo IDs:
PAN Card
Passport
Permanent Driving Licence
Voter's Card with photograph
Bank Passbook with photograph
Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar with photograph
Photo ID issued by a Gazetted Officer or People's Representative on official letterhead
Recognised College/University ID card
Government/PSU employee ID card
Bar Council ID with photograph
NOT accepted:
Ration Card
Learner's Driving Licence
Second: the name on your photo ID must match the name on your admit card exactly. If it does not — commonly after marriage or a legal name change — you will not be permitted to sit the exam unless you carry a Gazette Notification, marriage certificate or affidavit as proof.
Candidates who are RBI staff must bring their RBI-issued identity card along with a photocopy of it.
Carry a clear printout of the admit card, preferably in colour, with a recent passport-size photograph pasted on it — ideally the same one uploaded during registration
Carry a blue or black ballpoint pen for cadres and papers using a handwritten Answer Booklet
Report well before the Gate Closing Time printed on your individual hall ticket. Candidates reporting after this time will strictly not be allowed to appear. Reporting time varies by centre and shift, so read your own hall ticket rather than a friend's
Do a dry run to your examination centre if it is unfamiliar. July travel disruption is not an accepted excuse
Leave prohibited items at home. Nothing beyond the permitted documents and pen should travel with you
Phase 2 carries 300 marks across three papers:
| Paper | Subject | Type | Marks |
| Paper I | Economic & Social Issues (ESI) | Objective + Descriptive | 100 |
| Paper II | English (Writing Skills) | Descriptive | 100 |
| Paper III | Finance & Management (F&M) | Objective + Descriptive | 100 |
Objective sections carry negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned per wrong answer (0.50 for two-mark questions). The descriptive English paper carries no negative marking. Papers I and III are bilingual; the English paper is in English only. Paper-wise durations are specified in your cadre's Information Handout — confirm them there rather than relying on last year's pattern.
DEPR and DSIM Phase 2 consists of descriptive papers on Economics and Statistics respectively, along with English.
Phase 1 was purely qualifying — those marks are discarded. The final merit list is built from Phase 2 (300 marks) + Interview (75 marks) = 375 marks. Whatever your Phase 1 score, it counts for nothing from July 25 onward.
And the funnel is unusually brutal this cycle. RBI notified just 60 vacancies for Panel Year 2026 — 40 General, 10 DEPR, 10 DSIM — the lowest count on record and half of the 120 released in 2025, against roughly 62,000 applications. Selected officers draw a basic pay of ₹78,450 per month, with gross monthly emoluments of approximately ₹1,54,936 excluding HRA.
Use the official RBI portal only — third-party "direct links" circulating on Telegram are not RBI properties. Keep your registration number and password ready before you open the page, and use a stable connection. If you have forgotten your password, use the credential recovery option on the login page well before the exam; do not leave it to July 24. Download on a desktop rather than a phone browser, and save the PDF in more than one place. Candidates who cleared Phase 1 but cannot locate their call letter should contact RBI recruitment authorities immediately rather than assume it will appear.
