The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Re-NEET OMR Response Sheet 2026 and the NEET UG Final Answer Key 2026 at the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Multiple media reports indicate the OMR sheet PDF and the final answer key could be published today or within the next day or two, clearing the last hurdle before the Re-NEET UG 2026 result.
Roughly 20 lakh medical aspirants who appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) re-examination on June 21, 2026 are refreshing neet.nta.nic.in 2026 for the OMR response sheet link, the final answer key PDF and the NEET UG result date. According to reports quoting senior NTA officials, result preparation has entered its final stage.
The Re-NEET OMR Response Sheet 2026 is the scanned, machine-read record of every bubble a candidate darkened in the exam hall. It shows what NTA's scanner actually captured — not what the candidate remembers marking. Read against the final answer key, it lets aspirants compute an expected score before the official scorecard goes live.

Important: NTA has not issued an official notice fixing the OMR sheet or final answer key release time. The dates above reflect reported expectations and past release patterns. Candidates should treat neet.nta.nic.in as the only authoritative source.
NTA released the provisional answer key for the Re-NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 25, 2026, along with the question papers. The challenge window stayed open until June 28, 2026, with candidates paying Rs 200 per disputed question.
Roughly 10,000 objections landed in that window. Each one must be examined independently by a panel of subject experts before the final answer key can be locked. That review is what currently stands between candidates and their result.
The process matters more than usual this year. A senior NTA official told news agency ANI that the agency is working on a priority basis and that the result will be out by July 20. The official noted that results are ordinarily declared within 45 days of the examination, but because the re-exam cycle was compressed into 37 days, the declaration will land earlier than the norm. The agency has also committed to protecting the MBBS admission calendar despite the re-examination.
According to reports on the provisional answer key, one question was dropped and a second question was accepted with two correct options. Both belong to the Physics section.
If this position is carried into the final answer key, it changes the arithmetic for a large slice of candidates:
Dropped question: full marks are typically awarded to every candidate, whether or not the question was attempted.
Two-answer question: candidates who marked either of the two accepted options usually receive full credit.
This is precisely why the final answer key — not the provisional one — is the document that decides your score. Candidates should not lock in an expected score based on the June 25 key alone. The final key overrides it, and it cannot be challenged once published.

The scanned Re-NEET 2026 OMR sheet PDF opens on screen.
Download it and save a copy to cloud storage — not just your phone gallery.
Direct link: To be activated at neet.nta.nic.in once NTA publishes the notice.
Based on past NEET cycles, the OMR response sheet download link stays live for a limited window — commonly around 72 hours from activation. Once it closes, it does not reopen, and NTA does not email the document to candidates afterwards.
Every cycle, candidates spend Rs 200 on the wrong form. The two options sit next to each other on the dashboard, and they solve completely different problems.
OMR Challenge Use this when the scanned sheet shows a response that does not match what you marked. Example: you shaded option B, the sheet records option C, or shows a blank. Your evidence is the OMR image itself. Textbook pages are irrelevant here.
Answer Key Challenge Use this when the recorded response is correct, but you believe NTA's designated correct answer is wrong. Your evidence is academic — NCERT references, standard textbook citations, published sources.
Filing an academic argument on an OMR discrepancy form gets it rejected, and the fee is not refunded. The Rs 200 per-question fee is refunded only where the expert panel upholds the challenge.
Re-NEET UG 2026 carried 180 questions across Physics, Chemistry and Biology, for a maximum of 720 marks.
Marking scheme
Correct answer: +4
Incorrect answer: −1
Unattempted: 0
Formula: Total Score = (Correct × 4) − (Incorrect × 1)
Worked example: A candidate attempts 165 questions. Of these, 140 are correct and 25 are wrong. 15 questions are left blank.
Correct: 140 × 4 = 560
Incorrect: 25 × 1 = 25 (deducted)
Unattempted: 15 × 0 = 0
Total Score = 560 − 25 = 535 out of 720
Now factor in the dropped Physics question. If full marks are awarded to all candidates, add 4 marks: 539. This is why candidates who calculate from the provisional key alone frequently under-report their own score by 4 to 8 marks.
Note: This is an estimated score. The official Re-NEET UG 2026 result is prepared strictly from the final answer key.
The Re-NEET result 2026 is expected on or before July 20, 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in. NTA is expected to publish both an individual scorecard, accessed by login, and a result PDF carrying cutoff data and a top-100 All India Rank list.
The Re-NEET UG 2026 scorecard will typically display:
Candidate name, roll number and application number
Subject-wise marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Total marks out of 720
Percentile score
All India Rank (AIR)
Category rank and 15% All India Quota rank
Qualifying status
Once published, the result cannot be challenged. It is generated from the final answer key, which itself is not open to further objection.
| Category | Qualifying Percentile |
| General / EWS | 50th percentile |
| OBC, SC, ST | 40th percentile |
| General-PwD | 45th percentile |
| SC/ST/OBC-PwD | 40th percentile |
The percentile stays constant year to year. The corresponding raw marks move, because they are pegged to the highest score in the All India merit list. Category-wise cutoff marks will be announced with the result.
Once the Re-NEET UG 2026 result is declared, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will notify the schedule for 15% All India Quota seats, along with central universities, deemed universities, AIIMS and JIPMER admissions. The remaining 85% state-quota seats are handled by individual state counselling authorities, which announce their timelines separately.
Candidates must register online, pay the counselling fee, and lock a choice-filling order of colleges and courses. Seat allotment factors in NEET rank, category, reservation policy, candidate preferences and seat availability. Allotted candidates must report to the institute for document verification.
NTA has stated that the MBBS admission calendar will proceed as planned despite the re-examination.
Separately, NTA has extended the facility for candidates of the cancelled May 3, 2026 examination to confirm, correct or update their bank account details for the examination fee refund. The revised last date is July 14, 2026.
Candidates who have not yet verified their bank details should do so through the candidate portal before the window closes. Refund disbursal has reportedly already begun for verified accounts.
The NEET UG 2026 examination originally held on May 3, 2026 was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak. NTA conducted the re-examination on June 21, 2026 across the country for approximately 20 lakh registered candidates. The provisional answer key followed on June 25, and the objection window closed on June 28.
