The wait is nearly over for lakhs of medical aspirants. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the Re NEET UG 2026 result shortly on its official portal, neet.nta.nic.in. Based on the most recent updates, an NTA official has indicated via ANI that the re-NEET 2026 result will be declared by July 20, 2026.
Importantly, NTA has not issued a formal notification confirming the exact date or time. The agency does not usually pre-announce a result "time" — the scorecard link simply goes live on the website once evaluation is complete. Going by past NTA patterns, results tend to appear in the afternoon or evening, but candidates should treat any specific hour circulating online as unofficial until the link is actually active.
The sequence NTA typically follows before a result is: recorded responses and scanned OMR sheet → objection/challenge window → final answer key → result and scorecard. With the OMR challenge window closing on July 15, the final answer key and Re NEET result 2026 are the last two steps remaining.

Unlike a routine result cycle, the Re NEET 2026 result carries extra weight because the re-examination itself was an exceptional event. The original NEET UG 2026 was held on May 3, 2026, and a re-test was later conducted on June 21 following a paper-leak controversy that affected candidates. The episode drew political reaction as well — Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu criticised the paper leak, saying it had hurt students' futures. This context is exactly why aspirants are watching the result timeline so closely: any delay pushes back the medical admission calendar.

Before the result, NTA will publish the final answer key. The provisional Re NEET answer key was released on June 25, 2026, and objections were accepted until June 28; those challenges are now under review before the final key is issued. Separately, the scanned OMR response sheet was released on July 13, 2026, and candidates can raise OMR objections until July 15, 2026. The final answer key forms the basis of your marks, so no further objections are entertained once it is published.
Quick score check: for each correct answer add +4, for each wrong answer subtract −1, and ignore un-attempted questions to estimate your raw score out of 720.
The qualifying cutoff will be released along with the result. The percentile requirement stays consistent year-on-year, even though the corresponding marks shift. For General/EWS candidates the qualifying benchmark is the 50th percentile; reserved categories (OBC/SC/ST) qualify at the 40th percentile, and PwD candidates at the 45th percentile. Only candidates meeting the cutoff will be eligible for medical counselling.
Once the result is out, admission moves to the counselling stage. There is no separate counselling for re-exam candidates — the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the respective state authorities run a single, unified process, and the ranks of both the main and re-exam are merged into one consolidated All India Rank list. Broadly: MCC handles the 15% All India Quota seats, while state authorities manage the 85% state quota seats across MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS courses.
Scorecards, ranks and cutoffs are declared only on the official NTA portal, neet.nta.nic.in. Do not trust third-party sites or social-media posts claiming to offer "early" Re NEET results or ranks. Rely solely on the official website and verified updates.
