RIE CEE 2026 Qualifying Marks Submission Last Date Extended to July 20 — Update at cee.ncert.gov.in

RIE CEE 2026 candidates have another window to lock in their admission eligibility. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has extended the last date to submit qualifying examination marks for RIE CEE 2026 to July 20, 2026, 11:55 PM, on the official portal, cee.ncert.gov.in. The official CEE portal confirms the extension of qualifying marks submission up to 20 July 2026.

The Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhubaneswar — the coordinating institute for the Common Entrance Examination under NCERT — issued the notice for candidates who are yet to upload or update their qualifying marks. The extension is a relief for aspirants whose Class 12, graduation or post-graduation results arrived late, or who could not complete the marks-updation step during the earlier window.

Candidates must log in with their application credentials and enter their marks before the deadline. This is the final opportunity — NCERT has made clear there will be no further submission or correction of qualifying marks after July 20, 2026.

How to Submit Qualifying Marks for RIE CEE 2026 (Step-by-Step)

  1. Visit the official CEE portal — cee.ncert.gov.in.

  2. Click on the Applicant Login / candidate login link.

  3. Sign in using your application number and password/date of birth.

  4. Open the Qualification Update / Mark Submission section.

  5. Enter your qualifying examination marks exactly as per your marksheet.

  6. Review every entry carefully, then submit and save the confirmation for your records.

Tip: Don't wait for July 20. High traffic near the deadline can slow the portal — complete the update at least a day early.

What Happens If You Miss the July 20 Deadline

If a candidate fails to submit qualifying marks by July 20, the result may be withheld and the candidate may not be considered for counselling and seat allotment. If you miss the RIE CEE 2026 qualifying mark submission date, your result may be withheld, and you may not be considered for admission. Because there is no correction window afterwards, an incorrect or missing entry cannot be fixed later — so accuracy matters as much as the deadline.

Why Qualifying Marks Matter — The 60:40 Merit Rule

Many candidates assume the entrance score alone decides admission. It doesn't. The final admission rank in RIE CEE 2026 is based on a composite score: 60% weightage is given to the RIE CEE exam score and 40% to the qualifying exam marks. In other words, your uploaded qualifying marks feed directly into your merit rank — a stronger Class 12 or graduation score can offset a slightly lower CEE score, and a wrong entry can quietly drop your rank. That's exactly why this submission step is non-negotiable.

For reference, the RIE CEE 2026 CBT itself carried negative marking. Correct answers earn +2 marks, wrong answers deduct 0.5 marks, and skipped questions carry no deduction.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Aspirants who have not yet completed the marks-updation step should finish it well before July 20, 2026, 11:55 PM. Keep checking cee.ncert.gov.in and the website of your respective RIE for the latest RIE CEE 2026 admission, result and counselling updates, since the provisional answer key and objection stage are already underway ahead of the result declaration.
