The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to announce the SSC GD Constable Result 2026 shortly. Lakhs of candidates who appeared for the computer-based test (CBT) are eagerly waiting for the official release of the merit list and cut-off marks on the newly launched commission portal, ssc.gov.in.
The SSC GD 2026 written exam was successfully conducted in four phases from April 27 to May 30, 2026. Following this, the commission released the provisional answer keys and candidate response sheets on June 15, 2026, allowing aspirants to raise objections. As the evaluation phase nears completion, the final result and list of shortlisted candidates for the physical tests are expected to go live any day now.
The SSC will publish the result in two formats: a national merit list PDF (categorized for male and female candidates) and an individual scorecard accessible via user login.
Visit the official website of the commission at ssc.gov.in.
Click on the "Result" icon/tab displayed on the top right section of the homepage.

Click on the "Result" column link to download the PDF file.
Open the downloaded PDF and press Ctrl + F (or use the search bar on mobile) to type your Roll Number or Name. If your details appear, you are shortlisted!

The official SSC GD result write-up and merit list contain crucial information that candidates must verify carefully:
Candidate’s Roll Number: The primary unique identifier for selection.
Candidate’s Name: Your full name matching your OTR profile.
Category Codes: Indicates your reservation status (e.g., 0 for EWS, 1 for SC, 2 for ST, 6 for OBC, and 9 for Unreserved/UR).
State/UT Code: Shows the regional cutoff applied to your application.
Cut-off Marks Write-up: A separate PDF containing category-wise cut-offs, total qualified candidates, and physical exam guidelines.
Since the difficulty level varied across multiple exam shifts, the SSC will employ a normalization formula to determine final scores. The cutoff is determined based on the total vacancies, candidate turnout, and paper difficulty.
Below is an estimation of the expected state-wise and category-wise average cutoff bracket for the Unreserved (UR) category:
| State Group | Expected Cut-Off Range (Out of 160) |
| High Cut-off States (UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, MP) | 125 – 138 Marks |
| Medium Cut-off States (Punjab, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha, HP) | 95 – 115 Marks |
| Low Cut-off States (North-Eastern States, J&K, Goa, South Indian States) | 65 – 85 Marks |
Note: The exact cutoff for security forces like SSF and NCB is traditionally higher (ranging from 140 to 152+ marks) because these posts have an all-India vacancy distribution.
The SSC GD selection procedure is rigorous and comprises multiple stages. Clearing the computer-based written exam is only the initial screening step.
