TN 12th Supplementary Result 2026 is now available online. The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has declared the Tamil Nadu HSC (Plus Two) and SSLC supplementary exam results 2026 on its official portals — tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in. Candidates who sat for the compartment or arrear papers can now download their marks memo by entering their registration number and date of birth.
The TN supplementary exam result 2026 for private candidates was announced on July 22, 2026, covering both Class 10 (SSLC) and Class 12 (HSC) streams. The Plus Two supplementary examination was conducted from June 29 to July 7, 2026, while the SSLC supplementary papers ran through the following week.
Official result windows for the tn supplementary exam result 2026 are hosted at:
Both portals mirror the same database. If one server slows down due to heavy traffic in the first hour after release, students should switch to the alternate link rather than refreshing repeatedly.
Step 1: Open the TN Board result website — tnresults.nic.in.
Step 2: Click the active link for TN HSC Supplementary Result 2026 or TN SSLC Supplementary Result 2026 displayed on the homepage.
Step 3: On the login page, enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (DOB).
Step 4: Submit the details to view your supplementary marks memo on screen.
Step 5: Download and save the result file, and take a printout for admission and verification purposes.
The digital marks memo displays the candidate's name, registration number, subject-wise theory and practical marks, total marks secured, and — most importantly — the qualifying status for the compartment examination. This qualifying status is the single field most students should verify first, because it determines eligibility for college admission, arrear clearance and further counselling processes.
If any discrepancy appears in the name spelling, subject code, or marks awarded, students must contact the DGE Tamil Nadu authorities or their examination centre immediately to have the record rectified. The online marks memo is provisional; the original marks statement is issued through the respective schools and examination centres.
Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the board in each paper. Those who clear the supplementary papers become eligible for admission to undergraduate courses and for the issue of a consolidated pass certificate. Students who could not clear the arrear papers this cycle will get another attempt in the next examination cycle announced by DGE Tamil Nadu, and are advised to track the official notification for the revised timetable and application window.
Revaluation and retotalling for the supplementary examination is typically opened for a short window after the result declaration. Students who believe their score does not reflect their performance should apply within the stipulated period along with the prescribed fee.
The supplementary cycle follows a strong annual result. In the main TN Plus Two examination this year, 95.20 per cent of students cleared the exam. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 97 per cent against 93.19 per cent for boys — a gap of nearly four percentage points, continuing a multi-year trend in Tamil Nadu board results.
Institution-level performance was equally notable. Of 7,536 higher secondary schools across the state, 2,639 private schools and 489 government schools registered a 100 per cent pass rate, officials said.
The board's supplementary calendar has stayed broadly consistent. Last year, the TN 12th class supplementary result was released on July 25, while the SSLC supplementary result followed on July 31. This year's declaration for private candidates arrived slightly ahead of that window, on July 22, 2026 — a marginal advance that gives arrear candidates a few extra days for admission formalities.
Before opening the result link, students should keep the following at hand:
Supplementary examination hall ticket (for the registration number)
Date of birth exactly as printed on the hall ticket
A stable internet connection and a device capable of saving a PDF
Entering a date of birth in the wrong format is the most common reason for a failed login attempt on tnresults.nic.in.
Every result season brings a spike in look-alike portals promising instant TN results. Students should download the marks memo only from tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in, and should not share their registration number on unverified websites, messaging forwards or paid "fast result" services.
