TNUSRB SI Answer Key 2025 Out: Download PDF and Raise Objections at tnusrb.tn.gov.in

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has released the preliminary answer key for the 1,299 Sub-Inspector vacancies. The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has officially published the preliminary answer key for the Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2025. Following the written examination conducted on December 21, 2025, the board released the response keys on December 26, 2025, to allow candidates to verify their performance.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,299 vacancies for the roles of Sub-Inspector (Taluk) and Sub-Inspector (Armed Reserve).

How to Download the TNUSRB SI Preliminary Answer Key

The answer key is available in PDF format on the official TNUSRB portal. Follow these steps to access it:

  1. Visit the official website: www.tnusrb.tn.gov.in.

  2. Locate the section titled "Direct Recruitment for the post of Sub-Inspectors of Police (Taluk & AR) – 2025".

  3. Click on the link for "Preliminary Answer Key for Written Exam".

  4. The PDF containing the correct answers for all sets will open on your screen.

  5. Download and save the file to cross-reference with your response sheet.

Marking Scheme for Score Calculation

Candidates can estimate their marks using the official marking scheme. Notably, there is no negative marking for the written examination.

Part 1: Tamil Eligibility Test

  • Total Questions: 100

  • Total Marks: 100

  • Nature: Qualifying only (Minimum 40 marks required).

  • Weightage: Marks are not added to the final merit list.

Part 2: Main Written Exam

The scoring for the main paper depends on whether the candidate is under the Open or Departmental quota:

 Procedure to Raise Objections

If a candidate finds a discrepancy in the preliminary answer key, they can submit a representation to the board. Objections must be submitted in person or via post; online submissions are not accepted for this stage.

  • Documentation: You must provide valid supporting proof or reference materials for the contested answer.

Next Steps in the Selection Process

After the objection window closes, the board will verify all challenges and release a Final Answer Key. The results will be based on this final version. Candidates who meet the cut-off will proceed to the following stages:

  1. Certificate Verification

  2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Endurance Test (ET)

  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (Exempted for Departmental candidates)

  4. Viva-Voce (Interview)

Is there any negative marking in the TNUSRB SI Exam?

No, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers in either the Tamil Eligibility Test or the Main Written Examination.

Can I submit my objections online?

No. According to the official notification, objections must be submitted in person during office hours or sent via post to the TNUSRB office in Chennai.
