Candidates who appeared for the Telangana Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (TS CPGET) 2026 have a key update to track: the result is expected to be declared on August 5, 2026, at 3 PM, with the CPGET Rank Card download link likely to be activated the same day. However, candidates should note that Kakatiya University, which conducts CPGET on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), has not officially confirmed this result date or time as of now.
TS CPGET is the gateway examination for admission to postgraduate (PG), PG Diploma, and Five-Year Integrated courses offered by major participating universities across Telangana, including Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, and JNTUH. The 2026 edition of the exam was conducted between July 8 and July 15, 2026, and lakhs of PG aspirants have since been awaiting the release of results and rank cards.
Since Kakatiya University has not put out an official notification confirming August 5 as the result date, candidates are advised to treat this as an anticipated timeline based on current updates, rather than a confirmed schedule. The safest approach is to keep the official CPGET portal open and refresh periodically around the expected time, while also checking for any official press note or notification from Kakatiya University.
Once declared, the result and rank card will be available exclusively online — Kakatiya University does not issue or post physical rank cards to candidates.
How to Download TS CPGET Rank Card 2026 (Once Released)
Visit the official CPGET website, cpget.tgche.ac.in.
Look for the "TS CPGET Result 2026" or "Rank Card Download" link on the homepage.
Log in using your hall ticket number or application number, along with your date of birth.
Your TS CPGET Result and Rank Card 2026 will be displayed on screen.
Download and save the rank card, and take a printout for use during document verification and counselling.
Candidates are strongly advised to check the rank card carefully for accuracy — including name, hall ticket number, date of birth, category, and marks obtained — as soon as it is downloaded, and to report any discrepancy to the CPGET examination authorities immediately.
Candidates should also be aware of the category-wise qualifying marks applicable for CPGET 2026 counselling eligibility:
General (OC) candidates: minimum 25 marks out of 100 required
OBC and BC category candidates: minimum 25 marks out of 100 required (same as OC)
SC and ST category candidates: no fixed minimum qualifying score; eligible to participate in counselling regardless of marks scored
Official subject-wise cutoff marks will be released separately by Kakatiya University during the counselling process, based on the difficulty level of the exam and the number of candidates competing for each course.
Once the result and rank card are released, Kakatiya University will announce the detailed TS CPGET 2026 counselling schedule, which is expected to include the following stages:
Online registration for counselling
Payment of counselling fee
Certificate and document verification
Web option entry (choice filling)
Seat allotment based on rank, category, local/non-local status, and seat availability
Reporting to the allotted college
Candidates should keep their rank card, hall ticket, qualification certificates, category certificates, and other relevant documents ready in advance, so they are not caught off guard once the counselling window opens.
