UGC NET Answer Key 2026: The window to raise objections against the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key closes today, August 18, 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had published the provisional answer key on August 16 at the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, covering all 84 subjects of the June session.
Candidates who spot a discrepancy in any answer can submit their objections online until 11:59 PM tonight. Along with the answer key, NTA has also made recorded responses available, allowing candidates to cross-check the options they marked during the exam and estimate their probable scores before the final result.
To access the challenge window, candidates must log in using their application number along with their password or date of birth, followed by the security pin displayed on the screen.
A non-adjustable processing fee of INR 200 per question applies to every objection raised. The amount is refunded in full only if NTA's subject matter experts accept the challenge as valid.
Key points candidates must keep in mind regarding the fee and objection process:
Objections are accepted only in online mode within the stipulated window. Challenges sent through email, fax, post, or any offline channel will be rejected outright.
Payment can be made via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. No objection will be processed without the fee.
If an objection is found valid, the correction will be applied uniformly to all candidates appearing in that subject. Hence, there is no need for multiple candidates to raise the same challenge, nor for one candidate to submit it repeatedly.
The answer key finalised after expert review will be treated as final and binding. As per the official notice, no grievance regarding the answer key will be entertained once the challenge window closes or after the result is declared.

Marks will be computed strictly on the basis of the final answer key, and no further representation will be accepted at that stage.
Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, for updates on the final answer key and result declaration.
