The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to issue the UGC NET December 2025 city intimation slip soon, giving candidates their first official update for the upcoming exam cycle. This slip mentions only the exam city assigned to each applicant and helps them plan travel before the test window, which runs from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. It is not the admit card but remains an important document, especially for candidates whose test city may be outside their state.
NTA is expected to release the slip around December 21, 2025, following its usual practice of publishing it about 10 days before the exam. Any change in schedule will be announced through official notifications.
The slip confirms only the exam city. Information such as the exact centre address, reporting time, and instructions will be available on the admit card issued closer to the exam.
Once announced, the city intimation slip can be accessed on the official portals:

After the city slip is released, NTA will issue the UGC NET admit card separately. It will contain the final exam centre address, timings, and exam-day guidelines. The admit card will be available a few days before the exam and is compulsory for entry to the test centre.
