UGC NET Answer Key 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key shortly on its official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. As of today, the key has not been uploaded, but going by NTA's usual turnaround, aspirants can expect it any time this week — most exam trackers have flagged a release on or around July 18, 2026, though the agency is yet to confirm an official date. The NTA has not announced an official date yet, but media reports suggest the answer key can be released before 18th July 2026.
The UGC NET June 2026 exam was conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode across the country on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30, 2026. A technical glitch at the CT Group of Institutions centre in Jalandhar on the first day led to a re-exam on 5 July 2026, which officially concluded the June cycle. This is why the provisional key has landed a few days later than in a typical June session — NTA processes evaluation data only after the very last shift wraps up.
This year's cycle was one of the widest ever. The answer key will be available for Paper 1 and for Paper 2 (87 subjects, including 2 new subjects: Statistics and Forestry). UGC NET June 2026 Result: When to Expect It
Going by previous June cycles — where the result followed roughly two to three weeks after the objection window shut — the UGC NET Result 2026 is expected to be announced in the first week of August 2026, around 15–20 days after the answer key objection window closes. The result decides eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and PhD admission, along with the scorecard and final answer key.
