The NTA has released the category-wise cut-off marks alongside the scorecards. Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifying marks to be considered for the merit list:
General (Unreserved) / EWS: Minimum 40% aggregate marks in both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwD / Third Gender: Minimum 35% aggregate marks in both papers.
Important Note: Qualifying the minimum marks does not guarantee a certificate. Only the top 6% of appearing candidates (per subject and category) are declared qualified for "Assistant Professor Only."
If there is a mismatch in your name, photograph, or subject code on the downloaded scorecard, candidates are advised to immediately contact the NTA helpline. Do not attempt to use a scorecard with incorrect personal data for PhD admissions or job applications.
