UP Scholarship 2026-27 Registration Begins: Check Eligibility, Last Date and Full Schedule

The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department (Samaj Kalyan Vibhag) has officially opened registration for UP Scholarship 2026-27. Students of Class 9 to Class 12, as well as those pursuing graduation, post-graduation, diploma, or ITI courses under the Dashmottar scholarship, can now apply through the official portal. Registration for Class 9 to 12 students began today, August 11, 2026.

The schedule comes from two government orders issued by the department on July 20, 2026 — one for the Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Intermediate scholarship (Class 9 to 12), and another for the Dashmottar scholarship. Both schemes are open to students from General, SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities.

UP Scholarship 2026 for Class 9 to 12: Key Dates

Students already familiar with the scheme should note that renewal applicants have a much shorter window than first-time applicants this year.

Renewal students (Class 10 and Class 12, already receiving the scholarship): Registration and hard copy submission from August 11 to August 25, 2026.

Fresh students (Class 9 and Class 11, applying for the first time): Online registration from August 11 to September 21, 2026.

Before student registration opened, schools completed background preparation on the portal. School-level master data preparation ran from July 22 to August 5, and District School Inspector verification of schools ran from July 23 to August 9. This groundwork is now complete, which is why the portal is live for students starting today.

UP Scholarship 2026 Application: What Happens After You Submit

Once a student submits the UP Scholarship 2026 application, the process moves through several verification stages before money is disbursed:

For renewal students, this process is expected to conclude with payment between October 25 and October 31, 2026. For fresh students, since more verification steps are involved, the UP Scholarship 2026 money is expected to be credited between January 25 and January 31, 2027.

UP Scholarship 2026 Dashmottar: Dates for Students Above Class 12

Students enrolled in graduation, post-graduation, diploma, ITI, or similar programmes fall under the Dashmottar scholarship, which follows a separate timeline from the Class 9-12 scheme.

Renewal students: Registration and hard copy submission from September 15 to October 15, 2026.

Fresh students: Online registration from September 15 to October 31, 2026.

Institutions are currently completing preparatory work — master data preparation runs from July 22 to August 15, and course fee verification by the concerned university or affiliating agency runs from July 23 to August 30.

For Dashmottar renewal students, payment is expected between January 16 and January 25, 2027. For fresh Dashmottar students, it is expected between January 27 and January 31, 2027.

Renewal students have a shorter application window than fresh students — if you are already on the scholarship, don't wait, since your deadline falls earlier. Submitting the form online is not the final step. Most categories also require a hard copy submission to your school or institution.
