The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced a revised schedule and a new examination venue for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) being held as part of the Direct Recruitment drive for Sub Inspector Civil Police and Equivalent Posts 2025. The update, notified on June 28, 2026, comes after continuous and heavy rainfall disrupted test arrangements at one of the designated PAC battalions, prompting the Board to act swiftly to avoid inconvenience to candidates.
This recruitment cycle is one of the most closely watched UP Police exams this year, aimed at filling 4,543 vacancies for Sub Inspector Civil Police and equivalent posts across the state. Document verification and PET rounds for candidates who cleared the Physical Standard Test (PST) began on June 29, 2026, at multiple PAC battalions statewide.
The UPPRPB confirmed that persistent rainfall severely affected ground and infrastructure arrangements at the 26th Battalion PAC, Gorakhpur, making it unsuitable to conduct the PET sessions as originally planned. To ensure a fair and uninterrupted process for all candidates, the Board decided to shift the affected sessions to a new venue rather than risk compromised testing conditions.
Candidates who were originally allotted the Gorakhpur centre will now appear for their Physical Efficiency Test at the 35th Battalion PAC, Lucknow. The Board has clarified that this change applies strictly to candidates assigned to the Gorakhpur venue. Candidates allotted any other centre across Uttar Pradesh will continue as per their original schedule, unless a separate notice is issued for them.
PET originally scheduled for June 29, 2026 → now to be held on July 1, 2026
PET originally scheduled for June 30, 2026 → now to be held on July 2, 2026
Reserve day originally fixed for July 1, 2026 → shifted to July 3, 2026
All affected candidates must report to the 35th Battalion PAC, Lucknow, on their newly assigned date and reporting time as mentioned on the updated admit card.
The UPPRPB has directed all affected candidates to download a fresh admit card from the official website before appearing for the test. The new hall ticket will reflect the updated examination centre, reporting time, and any additional instructions. Candidates are strongly advised to:
Visit the official UPPRPB recruitment portal.
Log in using registration number and date of birth or other required credentials.
Download the revised admit card for the PET round.
Cross-check the venue, date, and reporting time printed on the new card.
Carry a printed copy along with a valid photo ID to the 35th Battalion PAC, Lucknow.
Candidates have been urged to read all instructions carefully and comply with the updated guidelines to avoid last-minute issues on exam day.
