The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a critical update affecting thousands of Civil Services aspirants. Due to administrative reasons and Republic Day preparations, the Commission has postponed the UPSC CSE 2026 Notification and rescheduled specific 2025 Personality Tests.
Candidates appearing for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 personality test must note a significant change in the schedule. Due to the Republic Day Parade full dress rehearsal, the afternoon shift on January 22, 2026, has been cancelled.
Original Date: January 22, 2026 (Afternoon Shift)
New Rescheduled Date: February 27, 2026
New Shift: Morning Shift
The UPSC interview process, which began on December 8, involves 2,736 candidates who cleared the Mains.
In a rare move, the UPSC has postponed the official recruitment notice for both the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 and the Indian Forest Service (IFS) 2026.
Originally expected on January 14, 2026, the notifications are now on hold due to internal administrative clearances and the finalization of vacancies. While the UPSC has not provided a specific new date, the notification is expected "in due course." This delay will likely shift the application window for the Preliminary Exam, tentatively set for late May 2026.
To avoid disqualification, candidates attending the interview at Dholpur House must carry the following original documents:
Eligibility Proof: Age and nationality documents.
Education: Original Degree and Marksheets.
Category Certificates: Valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS or PwBD certificates (where applicable).
Community Status: Relevant proof for reservation claims.
Administrative: Completed Travel Allowance (TA) Form for reimbursement.
