The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has activated the admit card link for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2026 on its official portal, upsc.gov.in. This comes just ahead of the scheduled exam date of August 2, 2026, following the standard practice of issuing hall tickets roughly two weeks before the test.
Candidates who submitted their applications before the March 31 deadline can now log in and retrieve their e-admit cards. The recruitment drive this year aims to fill 1,358 vacancies for medical officer posts across central government departments, including Central Health Services, Indian Railways, and Ordnance Factories Health Services.
Visit the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in, or the dedicated recruitment portal at upsconline.nic.in.
Look for the link reading "Download e-Admit Card for CMS Examination, 2026" under the "What's New" or "Examination" section on the homepage.
Enter your registration number/roll number along with your date of birth in the format requested.
Your admit card will appear on screen with your photograph, exam centre, and reporting time.
Download the PDF and take at least one clear printout for the exam day.
Cross-check every detail on the card — name, photo, roll number, category, exam venue, and QR code — for accuracy.
If any discrepancy shows up on the hall ticket, candidates are advised to contact the UPSC helpline or regional office immediately, rather than waiting until exam day.
The e-admit card carries the candidate's name, roll number, registration number, category, photograph, exam centre address, reporting time, and a QR code used for verification at the gate. Since UPSC does not issue a physical hall ticket by post, the downloaded e-admit card is the only valid document for entry.
UPSC CMS 2026: Exam Day Guidelines Candidates Must Follow
Carry a printed admit card plus one original, valid photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, passport, or driving licence). Photocopies are not accepted.
Gates typically close 30 minutes before the shift begins — historically 9:00 AM for the forenoon session and 1:30 PM for the afternoon session. Late entry is not permitted under any circumstance.
Candidates can only appear at the centre allotted to them on the admit card; centre changes are not entertained on exam day.
If the photograph on the admit card is unclear, candidates should carry two passport-size photographs as backup.
Electronic devices, including mobile phones and smartwatches, are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

UPSC CMS is one of the primary recruitment routes for MBBS graduates seeking a government medical career.
