
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the final results for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. In a rigorous selection process that spanned from written examinations in August 2025 to personality tests concluded in February 2026, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to India’s prestigious administrative services.

Additionally, a Consolidated Reserve List of 258 candidates is being maintained to address potential vacancies.
The government reported a total of 1,087 vacancies to be filled through this cycle. The distribution for major services is as follows:
IAS: 180 vacancies (74 General, 18 EWS, 47 OBC, 28 SC, 13 ST)
IFS: 55 vacancies
IPS: 150 vacancies
Central Services Group 'A': 507 vacancies
Group 'B' Services: 195 vacancies
Provisional Status: The candidature of 348 recommended candidates remains provisional.
Withheld Results: Results for 02 candidates have been kept withheld.
Marks Availability: Candidates can expect their marks to be available on the official UPSC website (www.upsc.gov.in) within 15 days.
