The four-year wait is finally over. The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has officially issued a landmark notice dated January 20, 2026, announcing the return of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET). This marks the first time the examination will be conducted since 2021.
For aspiring primary and upper-primary teachers, this is the most critical update for teaching careers within the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The UPBEB has confirmed a multi-day window for the examination to accommodate the high volume of applicants expected after the long hiatus.
