The results of CAT 2025 will not be released on December 19, CAT Convenor Ram Kumar PN has confirmed. Speaking to India TV Digital, he said the declaration of the management entrance exam results is planned for the final week of December.
The convenor stated that the CAT 2025 results are expected to be announced between December 28 and December 31. The Common Admission Test was conducted on November 30. Candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to access their results on the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
To download the CAT 2025 scorecard, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the CAT scorecard link. They must log in using their application number and date of birth, after which the scorecard PDF will be displayed on the screen. Applicants are advised to save the document and take a printout for future reference.
Earlier, the final answer key for CAT 2025 was released after the provisional answer keys and individual response sheets were made available on December 4. An online objection window was opened by IIM Kozhikode from December 8 to December 10, allowing candidates from all three exam slots to raise objections by submitting supporting documents and explanations.
A total of 187 objections were received across the three sections and shifts of the exam. Of these, only one objection, related to the Quantitative Ability section from the first shift, was accepted.
Following the release of the CAT 2025 results, the Indian Institutes of Management will begin the shortlisting process for the next stages of admission. Shortlisting is based on CAT scores along with other eligibility criteria set by individual IIMs. These may include academic record, work experience, diversity factors and previous academic performance.
Candidates who meet the required cut-offs will be called for further selection rounds, which may include a Personal Interview, Group Discussion and/or Written Ability Test. While the selection process varies across institutes, several IIMs in recent years have replaced Group Discussions with Written Ability Tests and Personal Interviews.
