Detailed IGMCRI Nursing Officer Selection Process 2025 

Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute Puducherry has announced the recruitment of 226 Nursing Officer Group ‘B posts. The selection process is entirely merit-based with no written examination or interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on three main factors:

  1. Academic Performance

  2. Employment Exchange Seniority

  3. COVID 19 Duty Marks

A total of 226 marks will be considered to prepare the final merit list ensuring a transparent and fair evaluation of all applicants.

Academic Qualification (100 Marks)

Academic IGMCRI Nursing Officer qualifications carry the highest weightage. The marks are calculated as:

  • 40% of Higher Secondary (or equivalent) marks

  • 60% of Nursing Degree / Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) marks

Important: A 5% deduction is applied for each additional attempt taken to pass qualifying subjects or semesters.

Employment Exchange Seniority (Up to 15 Marks)

Candidates registered with the Puducherry Employment Exchange can earn additional marks:
