How to Register for NSE 2026? Centre Registration Link, Dates & Process

The Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) has started the NSE 2026 Centre Registration process for schools and colleges interested in becoming official examination centres for the National Standard Examinations (NSE) 2026. The online registration window is open from August 1 to August 20, 2026, while student enrolment will begin on August 21, 2026.

This registration process is meant for schools, colleges, Principals, Vice Principals, and Centre In-charges who wish to conduct the National Standard Examinations in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and Junior Science. Registered centres will receive a permanent Centre Number, which will also be used for future NSE registrations.

The IAPT has commenced the NSE 2026 Centre Registration process from 1 August 2026 for schools and colleges wishing to conduct the National Standard Examinations. Registered centres can begin student enrolment from 21 August 2026.

NSE 2026 Centre Registration Link

The NSE 2026 Centre Registration Link has been activated by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) for schools, colleges, and university departments wishing to conduct the National Standard Examinations (NSE) 2026. The online registration window is open from 1 August to 20 August 2026. Eligible institutions must complete the registration process, submit the required details and documents, and obtain a permanent Centre Number.

How to Register for NSE 2026? (Step-by-Step Process)

Schools and colleges can complete the Centre Registration by following these steps:

1. Visit the official IAPT website at https://www.iapt.org.in.

2. Open the Centre Registration portal.

3. Enter the institution details, including the complete address with PIN code.

4. Fill in the details of the Principal and Centre In-charge along with email ID and at least two mobile numbers.

5. Upload the required signed and scanned registration documents.

6. Submit the online Centre Registration application.

7. After verification, IAPT will allot a permanent Centre Number.

8. Use the allotted Centre Login credentials.

9. From 21 August 2026, log in to begin student enrolment and complete the online fee submission process.

Note: Only Government-recognized schools and colleges affiliated with a Board or University are eligible to register as NSE centres. Coaching institutes, coaching classes, and private premises cannot be registered as examination centres. A minimum of 30 students is required for an institution to function as an NSE centre.

NSE 2026 Registration Fee

Centre In-charges must retain ₹60 per student towards examination expenses and transfer the remaining ₹240 to IAPT through the online portal. The fee remittance must be completed by 16 September 2026.
