Junior Maths Olympiad 2025: The Institute of Mathematics Education, every year, conducts the Junior Maths Olympiad as one of its initiatives in making mathematics learning interesting and meaningful for the students. Junior Maths Olympiad (JMO) serves as a strong preparatory foundation for the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) conducted by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Govt. of India.
The Junior Maths Olympiad 2025 exam is scheduled for 1st Feb 2026 (Sunday), from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Hurry up, Students can register by 20th Dec 2025. Junior Maths Olympiad 2025 Results will be announced on 31st March 2026. The students who secure 50% marks and more in the MAT (Maths Aptitude Test) exam in the same academic year can appear for the JMO 2025. The MAT Examination is considered a qualifying test for the Junior Maths Olympiad 2025.
Junior Maths Olympiad 2025
MAT exam is normally conducted 2 times that is in the first and last week of August in 2 groups i.e. Primary Group from students of Class 5 & 6 and Higher Primary Group from students of Class 7 & 8. For students scoring 50% to 88% Selection Certificate is provided and those who score 90% and above, Selection Certificate and Prize (JMO Study Material) is provided them. To accomplish the shared objective of enhancing mathematical abilities and cultivating quantitative leadership at the academic and institutional levels in the country the Junio Maths Olympiad Examination is conducted.Junior Maths Olympiad Benefits & Perks
Candidates who qualify the JMO 2025 are going to receive Scholarship, perks and benefits which are detailed below.- Approximately Top 5% students: Ramanujan Scholarship of Rs. 1000/- will be awarded with certificate of honor and Gold Medal.
- Approximately Next 7% to 8% students: Kaprekar Scholarship of Rs. 500/- will be awarded with certificate of honor and Silver Medal.
- Approximately Next 10% to 12% students: Consolation prize and certificate of honor.

JMO 2025 Registration
JMO 2025 Registration will soon be completed at the participating schools through offline mode. In case a student wishes to appear for the Junior Maths Olympiad examination but his/her respective school is not participating, then such students will appear as Private Students and should contact the IME office for more details at Phone: 8104011965 or Email: imethane@gmail.com. The Junior Maths Olympiad 2025 Registration will close on 20th December 2025.
JMO 2025 Exam Date
JMO 2025 Exam Date has been officially declared at the official website to be held on 1st February 2026. Students will appear for JMO exam in their respective schools. Private Students will take part in the exam at the centres assigned by IME. JMO Exam will be held through Pen and Paper mode at the exam premises. JMO Result will be emailed to the schools and for Private Students, result will be declared on the website www.aiime.org on 31st March 2026.JMO Exam Pattern 2025
- Primary Group: Students of std. 5th and 6th.
- Higher Primary Group: Students of std. 7th and 8th.
- The JMO Exam 2025 consists of 13 Questions which are subjective type.
- Language of examination is English.
- Duration of Junior Maths Olympiad Exam is 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
- Maximum marks are 100.
