NSEB Exam Date 2025 Out: The much-awaited NSEB Exam Date 2025 has been announced for the students who have completed the registration process for the NSEB Exam 2025, which is the first stage of the International Biology Olympiad.

NSEB Exam 2025 will be conducted on November 23, 2025 (Sunday) between 2:30 am to 4:30 am. The National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB) 2025 is held for students of Classes 11 and 12. The NSEB Admit Card 2025 will be released about 15 days before the exam date for candidates who have successfully registered for the Biology Olympiad.

This exam is organized by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) in partnership with the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education and will be conducted at various exam centers across the country.

The National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB) is conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) in collaboration with the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. It is a two-hour written test consisting of 60 multiple-choice questions.

As per the official schedule, the NSEB 2025 will be held on November 23, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Each year, around 20,000 to 60,000 students from Classes 11 and 12 participate in this exam. Based on their performance, candidates are shortlisted for the Indian National Biology Olympiad (INBO).

NSEB Exam Pattern 2025

To succeed in the NSEB Examination 2025, students must first understand the exam pattern clearly. Before beginning their preparation, it’s important to go through the structure of the paper.

As per the NSEB Exam Pattern 2025, the paper includes:

  • 48 multiple-choice questions with only one correct answer — each correct answer carries +3 marks, while each wrong answer results in a -1 mark deduction.

  • 12 multiple-choice questions that may have one or more correct answers — to earn marks for these, students must select all the correct options without choosing any incorrect ones.

Only candidates who have successfully registered for the National Standard Examination in Biology (NSEB) will be able to download their admit cards from the official website.

This hall ticket is a mandatory document for appearing in the exam, and without it, students will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
