A school must have a minimum of 30 students to become a centre. Follow the steps below-

  2. Register the centre using the official portal.

  3. Upload the required documents.

  5. Receive the centre number after approval.

  6. Log in with centre credentials and manage student enrolment.

NSEP Registration 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria 

Before filling out the online application form, applicants must ensure they meet all the eligibility norms set by IAPT:

  • Nationality: Must be eligible to hold an Indian passport.

  • Residential Status: Must be residing and studying in India on or before November 30, 2024.

  • Date of Birth Range: Must be born between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2012 (both dates inclusive).

  • Academic Level: Must be studying in Class 10, Class 11, or Class 12. Candidates must not have completed or scheduled to complete Class 12 board examinations before November 30, 2026.

  • University Admission Restriction: Candidates must not have commenced or scheduled university/college studies before June 1, 2026.

Is there any negative marking in the NSEP exam?

Yes, in Part A (single choice correct), 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. In Part B (multiple choice correct), there is no negative marking, but full credit is awarded only if all correct choices and no wrong choices are selected.

Do I need to pay an extra registration fee if I qualify for INPhO (Stage 2)?

No, the registration fee paid during Stage 1 (NSEP) covers the entire selection sequence, and qualified candidates do not pay additional fees for subsequent stages.
