NSEP Training Camp 2025 is a specialized program created to help students excel in the National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP), the first step toward the Indian National Physics Olympiad (INPhO) and ultimately the IBO. The camp follows the official NSEP syllabus for Physics, covering advanced topics in a structured, step-by-step manner to bridge the gap between school-level science and the complex questions featured in NSEP. Sessions include theory, problem-solving, and intensive revision, guided by experienced faculty members, and offer both live and recorded access for flexible learning. This program provides comprehensive chapter-wise material and regular progress tests, ensuring thorough preparation and deep conceptual understanding for high-achieving students targeting NSEP 2025.
NSEP stands for National Standard Examination in Physics. It was first conducted in 1987 by IAPT and serves as the initial stage for selecting students for the Indian and International Physics Olympiad.
NSEP is held nationwide at a regional level and is offered in English, Hindi, and other Indian languages. The exam is generally conducted in November, and results for Stage 1 are announced in December or January, after which qualified candidates can move to the second stage.
Stage 1 – NSEP- National Standard Examination in Physics.
Stage 2 – INPhO- Indian National Physics Olympiad
Stage 3 – OCSC- The Orientation cum Selection Camp in physics.
Stage 4 – PDT- Pre-departure Training Camp for IPhO.
Stage 5 – IPhO- Participation in International Physics Olympiad.

NSEP 2025 exam is the gateway for physics lovers to get NSE Scholarship 2025-26 for undergraduate studies. Every year only 10 students are provided the NSEP Scholarship. There are some qualifications and guidelines for NSEP scholarship. You must attempt the NSEP exam conducted by IAPT. The NSEP scholarship is not an immediate benefit, but is offered during the student's undergraduate studies.
This NSEP scholarship is only useful to those students who are willing to study, for example, an undergraduate degree in physics - Astrophysics or Theoretical physics. No candidate who has previously represented India in International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) or Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) will be eligible to compete in NSEP.
As a crucial part of the PDC 2025 selection procedure, PW has scheduled the Open Mega Tests for NSEP, NSEC, NSEB, NSEJS, and NSEA on 5th and 12th October 2025. These tests serve as the initial screening stage, assessing students’ readiness across the full syllabus and helping to identify standout candidates for subsequent phases, including the free offline NSE Pre-Departure Camp (Interactive Session). Notably, students who fill out the form for these Open Mega Tests receive complimentary access to the PDC free batch (covering NSEP, NSEC, NSEB, NSEJS), providing additional resources and expert support for their Olympiad journey.
