NSEP 2025-26: National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP) has been conducted by IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers) every year since 1987. It is a voluntary participation as more than 2,00,000 students from around 1,500 centers participated in this exam. NSEP is the only examination that leads to Indian students' participation in the National and International Science Olympiads as there is no other means.

NSEP exam is a great platform for students considering physics their best interest and planning to major in it. The IAPT offers the NSEP Scholarship, the main purpose of which is to encourage students to pursue physics at the undergraduate  level. NSEP is Pen and Paper based exam and is conducted in English, Hindi and some other Indian languages.

Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) will start NSEP (Physics) exam registration from 21st August 2025 onwards and the complete schedule is announced at the official website, iapt.org.en. The NSEP 2025-26 exam is scheduled on 23rd November 2025 (Sunday) between 8.30 am to 10.30 am.
