If the tie continues, the time taken to complete the examination is considered. The student who completes the test in less time gets the higher rank.
UIGKO provides awards, medals and certificates to students based on their performance.
The top three rankers in each class receive awards as follows:
The top ranker receives a laptop along with a memento.
The next two rankers receive a Tablet PC along with a memento.
Rankers 4 to 10 receive a cash prize of Rs. 1,000 each.

Preparing for the Unified International GK Olympiad requires regular practice across different areas of general knowledge and life skills.
Build your knowledge of important events, places, people, science, history, geography and other general awareness topics suitable for your class.
Read age-appropriate news regularly and focus on important national and international events. Make short notes of important facts for revision.
Try questions that require you to understand a situation and choose the most suitable answer. This can help you become familiar with the Critical Thinking section.
Solve sample questions and previous practice papers to understand the type of questions asked in the UIGKO exam.
Keep revising important facts instead of trying to study everything at once. Short and regular revision sessions can make it easier to remember information.
The UIGKO result is used to determine students' ranks, awards and certificates according to the applicable criteria.
Students can check their performance and Student's Performance Report after the result is made available through the official process.
Students can practise UIGKO sample questions to become familiar with the objective question format. Since the paper covers General Awareness, Current Affairs, Life Skills and Critical Thinking, practice should include questions from all four sections.
Regular practice can also help students understand how questions are framed for their class level.
