NSTSE, or the National Level Science Talent Search Examination, is a diagnostic examination for students from Classes 1 to 10. The examination focuses on conceptual understanding in Mathematics and Science rather than testing memorisation alone.

For the 2026-27 academic year, NSTSE will be conducted as an online examination that students can take from home. The examination uses class-specific question papers and assesses students through objective-type questions.

The NSTSE online examination includes a mock exam on January 17, 2027, followed by the final examination on January 24, 2027. Students can use the examination to assess their understanding of concepts, identify areas that need improvement and practise applying their knowledge.

NSTSE Latest Update

The NSTSE online examination for the 2026-27 academic year is scheduled to be conducted on January 24, 2027. A mock examination will be held on January 17, 2027. Students can appear for the examination from home using a PC or laptop with an internet connection and webcam.

Students from Classes 1 to 10 are eligible to participate. The examination fee is ₹354, including GST. The fee includes the examination, Student's Performance Report (SPR), two previous question papers, a Success Series e-book and applicable online payment charges.

The results are expected to be declared 45 days after the examination. Students appearing for the examination receive a digital certificate and Student's Performance Report.
