UPSC 2026-27 Complete Preparation and Coaching with Physics Wallah

The UPSC CSE Mains 2026 timetable has been released, with the examination scheduled across five days in two sessions. The official notification provides the examination details, while the table below covers the complete paper-wise schedule, including the date, session and timing.

Note: UPSC issued a press note on August 19, 2026, regarding the Question Paper Representation Portal (QPReP). The portal will be available from August 31 to September 4, 2026, for submitting representations regarding question paper(s). Representations must be submitted only through the QPReP portal and will not be accepted through any other mode or after the deadline.

• Candidates Qualified for IFoS Mains: 1,046
• Total IFoS Vacancies: 80

Qualified IFoS candidates will also be required to complete an online application process (dates to be announced by UPSC), including fee payment where applicable, updating scribe and assistive device details, submitting cadre preferences, and confirming their application to receive the e-Admit Card.

Compared with 2025:

• CSE Mains qualifiers have decreased from 14,161 to 13,343, while vacancies have reduced from 1,087 to 1,016.
• IFoS Mains qualifiers have dropped sharply from 2,116 to 1,046, with vacancies declining from 150 to 80.
