RRB Allahabad: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Allahabad is one of the prominent recruitment boards in India responsible for hiring candidates for various posts in the Indian Railways. The Railway Service Commission in Allahabad was initially located in a spacious rented building on Sardar Patel Marg, a well-known landmark in Civil Lines, Allahabad. In January 1985, the Railway Service Commissions were renamed as Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). In 1990, RRB Allahabad had to vacate the Sardar Patel Marg campus and move to its current location in the DRM Office Annexe.
In 1998, all RRBs came under the control of the Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB), which was established within the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) to coordinate and streamline the functioning of the RRBs.
