RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam 2026 Guidelines: The Railway Recruitment Board is conducting the RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam 2026 today across designated centres nationwide. Thousands of qualified candidates from the Stage 1 test are appearing for the Stage 2 examination to secure one of the Assistant Loco Pilot posts. The computer-based examination evaluates candidates on basic science, engineering concepts, and specific technical trade knowledge over two structured parts.

The Railway Recruitment Board has now scheduled the RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam for 28th July 2026 to fill 10,970 Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies. The CBT 2 exam will be conducted in two shifts at various exam centres of the country. Candidates have to reach the examination centre on time and carry all the required documents along with the admit card. For the first shift, candidates have to report at 7:30 AM and for the second shift at 12:30 PM.

Important Note: Gate closure timings are strictly enforced by the examination authorities. Candidates arriving even a minute after gate closing will not be permitted to enter under any circumstances.
Candidates must carry the following items to the examination venue for verification purposes:
Printed Admit Card: A clear hard copy of the official RRB ALP CBT 2 Admit Card downloaded from the regional RRB portal.
Valid Original Photo ID: Any one of the following government-issued photo identity cards:
Aadhaar Card (or e-Aadhaar printout)

Driving License

Passport-Size Photographs: At least two recent colour photographs matching the photo uploaded during application submission.

Upon reaching the exam venue, candidates will go through a multi-stage entry and identity authentication process:
1. Gate Entry & Roll Number Verification:
Show your printed admit card and original identity proof at the main entry gate for preliminary verification.
2. Security Frisking:
Pass through metal detectors and manual security checks to verify that no prohibited electronic items or study materials are brought inside.
3. Biometric & Aadhaar Authentication:
Proceed to the registration desk inside the center for digital thumb impression capture, facial photograph verification, and system allotment.
4. System Login & Scribe Check:
Occupy your designated computer lab and seat number. Log in using your registration number and date of birth once instructed by the lab invigilator.
RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Day guidelines should be followed by every student.
Reach the exam venue at least 45 to 60 minutes before the official reporting time to avoid peak crowds.
Ensure your signature and photograph on the printed admit card are clear and legible.
Cooperate fully with center officials during biometric verification and frisking procedures.
Write your roll number and details on the provided rough sheet before beginning the test.
Candidates are not allowed to bring any of the following items into the test premises:
Electronic Gadgets: Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, health bands, or calculators.
Study Material: Books, notebooks, loose paper sheets, or cheat slips.
Personal Belongings: Heavy bags, wallets, metallic ornaments, or keychains.
Stationery: Pencils, pens, or pencil boxes (rough sheets and pens are provided in the exam hall).
