Acid and Water Solution (Allegation/Mixture):

  • A 12-liter solution contains 30% acid (70% water).

  • Find how much water should be added to make the solution 20% acid (80% water).

Sum and Product of Numbers (Algebra):

  • The sum of two numbers (x + y) is 12.

  • Their product (xy) is 27.

  • Find the value of x³ + y³.

Least Common Multiple (LCM):

  • Find the LCM of 15, 10, and 0.4.

Divisibility Rule (Number System):

  • Find the number nearest to 95,061 that is exactly divisible by 9.

Age Ratio Problem:

  • The present age ratio of a father and son is 12:7.

  • After 4 years, the ratio becomes 15:13.

  • Find the sum of their present ages.

Height and Distance (Trigonometry):

  • The ratio of the height of a tower to its shadow is √3:1.

  • Find the angle of elevation of the sun.

Profit and Loss:

  • P sells an item to Q at a 12% profit.

  • Q sells it to R with a profit of ₹26.

  • If P had sold the item directly to R at the same price, the profit would be 25%.

  • Find P's cost price.

Volume of a Cylinder (Mensuration):

  • The curved surface area of a cylinder is 616.

  • The radius is 3.5.

  • Find the volume of the cylinder.

Ratio and Distribution:

  • ₹1,472 is divided among Rohit, Maya, and Vikas.

  • ₹25, ₹52, and ₹18 are deducted from their shares.

  • The remaining amounts are in the ratio 15:19:17.

  • Find Vikas's share after deduction.

Marked Price and Discount:

  • The marked price of an item is ₹2,400.

  • A 25% discount is given.

  • Find the selling price.

Simple Interest:

  • A sum earns ₹540 as simple interest in 3 years at 20% per annum.

  • Find the simple interest on the same sum for 2 years at the same rate.

Algebraic Expression:

  • Two numbers x and y satisfy the condition:

    • x + y = 4(x − y)

  • Find the value of:

    • 5xy / 3(x² − y²).
