The recruitment process consists of distinct stages designed to test aptitude, general awareness, and specialized skill sets:
Stage 1 Computer-Based Test (CBT-1): Screening test consisting of 100 objective questions (40 General Awareness, 30 Mathematics, 30 General Intelligence & Reasoning) with a duration of 90 minutes.
Stage 2 Computer-Based Test (CBT-2): Post-specific advanced exam consisting of 120 objective questions (50 General Awareness, 35 Mathematics, 35 Reasoning) conducted for shortlisted candidates (shortlisted at 20 times the vacancy count).
Skill Test (CBAT / TST):
Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Mandatory for Station Master and Traffic Assistant roles.
Typing Skill Test (TST): Mandatory for typist roles (Minimum speed: 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi).
Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination: Final physical check of credentials and assessment of medical fitness standards (A-2, A-3, B-2, C-2 depending on the post).
