RRB NTPC Post Preference 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the NTPC exam for Graduate and Undergraduate (12th Pass) candidates.
Choosing the right post and railway zone is important for selection. Candidates should select their preferences based on their medical fitness and the number of vacancies available in their category.
Before filling out the post preferences, candidates should check:
Medical requirements for each post.
Whether spectacles are allowed.
Total vacancies in each railway zone.
Category-wise vacancies (UR, OBC, SC, ST and EWS).
Their chances of selection based on available seats.
RRB has released RRB NTPC recruitment notifications for both Graduate-level and Undergraduate-level NTPC posts.

Choosing the right post and railway zone can improve your chances of selection.
Candidates should follow these important points:
Check Category-Wise Vacancies: Do not look only at the total vacancies. Check how many seats are available for your category (UR, OBC, SC, ST or EWS).
Avoid Zones with Very Few Seats: If only 1 or 2 seats are available in your category, competition may be higher.
Fill All Eligible Preferences: Try to fill all the posts and railway zones for which you are eligible. Read the RRB NTPC Eligibility carefully before applying for the recruitment.
Check Medical Eligibility: Select only those posts for which you meet the required medical standards.
Give Preference to More Vacancies: You can give higher preference to zones where more seats are available in your category.
Remember: First check your medical eligibility, then check category-wise vacancies and finally arrange your post preferences.
