The eligibility criteria determine who can apply for the apprenticeship and include requirements related to age, educational qualification, reservation benefits, medical fitness, and document verification.
Only candidates fulfilling all the prescribed conditions on the closing date of the application will be considered eligible for engagement as Act Apprentices.

Note: Candidates awaiting their results or those who do not possess the prescribed qualification and ITI certificate on the notification date are not eligible to apply.
Reservation benefits are provided according to the applicable Government of India and Railway Board guidelines.
SC/ST and OBC (NCL) candidates claiming reservation must upload valid caste certificates in the prescribed format.
EWS candidates must submit a valid Income and Asset Certificate issued in the prescribed format.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) must produce a disability certificate issued by the competent medical authority.
Horizontal reservation of 4% is available for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), while 10% horizontal reservation is provided for Ex-Servicemen as per the applicable Railway Board guidelines.
EWS candidates claiming reservation must submit a valid Income and Asset Certificate issued in the prescribed format.
Original certificates will be verified during document verification.
