General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 is refunded after attending trials).
SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Women / Minorities / EBC Candidates: Rs. 250 (Full fee is refunded after attending trials).
Applicants must fulfil age, education, and sports criteria as on the specified cut-off dates as mentioned in the RRC WR Sports Quota Eligibility 2026.
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 25 years (as on January 1, 2027)
Candidates born between January 1, 2002 and January 1, 2009 can apply.
No age relaxation is given to reserved categories for sports quota recruitment.
Level 5 / Level 4: Graduation degree from a recognised university.
Level 3 / Level 2: Passed 12th Class, or 10th Class plus Course Completed Apprenticeship, or 10th Class plus ITI.
Level 1: Passed 10th Class, ITI, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
Sports certificates must be from events held between April 1, 2024 and the notification date.
For Level 5/4, candidates must have represented the country in international events like the Olympics, World Cup, Asian Games, or secured top 3 ranks in recognised national meets.
For Level 3/2 and Level 1, candidates must have represented the state or nation in recognised National Championships, Inter-University meets, or Federation Cup events.
RRC WR Sports Quota Selection Process 2026 does not involve a written exam. Candidates are evaluated through physical trials and sports achievements.
Document Verification: Checking of original certificates, age proof, and sports achievements.
Sports Trial (40 Marks): Assesses game skills, physical fitness, and coach observations. Candidates must score at least 25 marks to be marked FIT. Candidates marked NOT FIT do not move to the next stage.
Assessment of Recognised Sports Achievements (50 Marks): Marks are given based on official sports certificates.
Educational Qualification (10 Marks): Marks awarded for educational background.
Selected candidates receive a regular RRC WR Sports Quota Salary 2026 according to the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix.
Level 5: Grade Pay Rs. 2800
Level 4: Grade Pay Rs. 2400
Level 3: Grade Pay Rs. 2000
Level 2: Grade Pay Rs. 1900
Level 1: Grade Pay Rs. 1800
Appointed candidates also receive standard railway allowances, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance. Candidates selected for clerk roles must pass a typing test within four years of joining.
