The Central Board of Secondary Education has set the Class 10 and 12 examinations to begin on February 17. The Class 10 papers for 2026 will take place in two phases: February 17 to March 9, and May 15 to June 1. The Class 12 examination will run from February 17 to April 9.
In previous years, CBSE has released results within 50 to 60 days of completing the exams. For instance, the Class 10 exams in 2025 ended on March 18, and the results were issued on May 13, marking a 56-day gap. In 2024, the Class 10 exam ended on March 13 and the result was published on May 13, exactly 60 days later.
The Class 12 result for 2025 was also released on May 13, 39 days after the final paper on April 4.
Based on the release patterns of past years, the Class 10 and 12 results for 2026 are likely to be declared by May 20. Since the Class 10 exam concludes on March 9, the result can be expected around May 9, following the usual 60-day timeline. The Class 12 result is expected around May 20, approximately 40 to 41 days after the April 9 conclusion. Once declared, results will be available on cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in.
