CBSE Class 10 Exam Reforms 2026: Two-Board System Explained

The introduction of a second board exam is part of a broader reform initiative by CBSE. This change is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

It is to alleviate academic pressure on students. It provides them with more than one opportunity within the same academic year to achieve better results. The syllabus for this second exam will be identical to that of the main board exam. It ensures students do not need to prepare new content, allowing them to focus specifically on strengthening their weaker areas.
