Food Deficiency: A person has a food insufficiency when their diet is inadequately nutrient-dense. We need food to survive. Our diet is made up of the foods we consume. The food and the human diet are divided into numerous nutritional classes. These categories include water, minerals, proteins, lipids, and carbs. Our development and overall health depend on a balanced diet that includes all these elements in adequate amounts.

These groupings include about 50% of the nutritional components of food. They support our development and aid in the healthy operation of the body. We shall examine dietary insufficiency and the numerous disorders it is linked to in this post.

Food deficiency happens when a person's diet has insufficient nourishment for an extended period and is not immediately remedied. The biggest issues with the current food supply in our world are starvation, malnutrition, and overnutrition. Several causes include the rising population, unequal food distribution, and the cultivation of cash crops rather than food. When a mammal, including a human, does not consume enough energy from its diet, starvation results. The body, therefore, starts to utilise glycogen and stored lipids to meet metabolic needs. Our muscles are used after these are gone because the body uses the still available protein. Because our heart is a muscle, this could drastically weaken it. Since malnutrition is caused by food imbalance, it differs slightly from starvation. It could be caused by a deficit or consuming too many nutrients over time. The lack of vitamins and minerals in our body leads to deficiency disorders. As we now understand, the absence of dietary fibre contributes to constipation. When a person consumes more energy than they can burn off, it is called overnutrition, and as a result, they gain weight. One of the most prevalent issues in industrialised nations is the term "fat" to describe such a person. Overconsumption of saturated fats and cholesterol, which raises the risk of coronary heart disease, is one of the key issues. It has been calculated that a kilometre worth of blood arteries is needed to cover all the excess fat cells in a 500-gram mass of fatty tissue. In conclusion, dietary imbalance may result from bad eating practices, financial restraints, or a refusal to adhere to nutritional recommendations.

Sodium Onions, sweet potato, broccoli, cabbage, pumpkin seeds, eggs and milk. Gastrointestinal Distress, Improper functioning of muscles and nerves.
Vitamin A Yellow-coloured fruits, green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli,  milk,  nuts,  etc. Night Blindness and other vision problems.
Vitamin B Green leafy vegetables, whole-grain foods, legumes, eggs,  milk and milk products, etc. Beriberi
Vitamin C Citrus fruits, milk,  broccoli, and chestnuts. Scurvy and Gum bleeding.

Nutrient deficiencies in our bodies bring on numerous nutritional deficits. For instance, a lack of carbohydrates might result in ketosis, which increases protein breakdown and lowers energy levels while decreasing fibre intake in the body. Headache, bad breath that smells like fruit, and a dry mouth are signs of carbohydrate deficit. A lack of fat brings on diseases linked to essential fatty acid deficiencies. Intellectual incapacity, dermatitis, thrombocytopenia, and alopecia are among the symptoms of this rare illness. Kwashiorkor is the name of the illness brought on by a protein shortage. This severe form of malnutrition is brought on by a shortage of protein, which is brought on by an osmotic imbalance in the digestive tract. This causes oedema, or the retention of water, which causes swelling in the gastrointestinal region.
