SUMMARY:

Unitary method and complex ratio:

1) Direct proportion: Two quantities are said to be directly proportional, if on the increase (or decrease) of one, the other increases (or decreases) to the same extent.

2) Indirect proportion: Two quantities are said to be indirectly proportional, if on the increase of one, the other decreases to the same extent and vice-versa.

Work and Time:

If A can do a piece of work in m days, then A’s 1 day work is  1/m.
